Al-Sibtain University of Medical Sciences celebrates the birth of

Under the auspices of the Student Activities Department, Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences held a joyous celebration commemorating the birth anniversaries of the Prophet Muhammad's family (peace be upon them), on Saturday, the 5th of Sha'ban, 1447 AH, amidst an atmosphere filled with joy and pride in noble spiritual values.A fruitful collaboration with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein: This celebration was the result of joint coordination between Al-Sibtain University and the Activities Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The program included distinguished religious segments that elevated the occasion:A beautiful recitation: The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran recited by a reader from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. Religious chants and hymns: A reciter of elegies and hymns praised the lives of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), creating an atmosphere of sanctity and joy. Student initiatives and community engagement: The ceremony witnessed significant participation from students and academic staff, and included:Distribution of natural flowers: In a gesture expressing love and joy, flowers were distributed to students and attendees in celebration of this blessed occasion. Strengthening spiritual values: The university administration emphasized that commemorating such religious occasions aims to solidify the identity and spiritual connection of the younger generation of medical students. "These celebrations reflect Al-Sibtain University's mission of combining academic excellence with adherence to moral and social values derived from the life of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them)." Field Visits by Al-Sibtain University Students and Staff to the Karbala International Book Fair

As part of its commitment to supporting scientific and cultural activities, the Department of Student Activities organized a series of regular field visits for Al-Sibtain University students and staff to the 20th Karbala International Book Fair, currently being held at the Courtyard of Lady Aqila Zaynab (peace be upon her). The fair features the participation of more than 80 Arab and international publishing houses and is held upon the generous invitation of the Holy Imam Hussain Shrine.The visits continued over five consecutive days and were organized according to the highest standards of coordination to ensure smooth implementation and broad participation. The program was carried out in cooperation with the Transportation Unit, which provided transportation services, and the deanships of the university's colleges, which nominated participating students and staff.These visits aim to introduce students and university staff to distinguished cultural and intellectual publications, enrich their academic and cultural knowledge, and promote a spirit of learning, intellectual engagement, and community initiative.

Al-Sibtain University Hosts an Intellectual Lecture by Sheikh Zaman Al-Hasnawi on the Impact of Thought in Shaping Human BehaviorAl-Sibtain University hosted an intellectual lecture delivered by Sheikh Zaman Al-Hasnawi on the role of thought in shaping human behavior.During the lecture, Sheikh Al-Hasnawi discussed the concept of adopting an intellectual framework and its direct influence on an individual's behavior and personality. He emphasized that the ideas and beliefs a person embraces constitute the fundamental basis of their attitudes and academic and social conduct, particularly within the university environment, which represents a crucial stage in developing awareness, responsibility, and sound values.

Visual Enrichment Initiative

In accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in response to the Visual Enrichment Initiative, Al-Sibtain University organized a photo exhibition on campus on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, with the participation and hosting of several universities.The exhibition aimed to enhance the artistic and aesthetic appreciation of students and staff, showcase creative talents, and support cultural and artistic activities that contribute to creating a well-rounded university environment. The event attracted significant attendance and engagement from students, faculty members, and administrative staff, who praised the importance of such initiatives in promoting visual awareness and cultural appreciation within the academic community.This event is part of a series of activities organized by Al-Sibtain University in line with the Ministry’s directives and in support of initiatives that contribute to enriching the cultural and artistic landscape of Iraqi universities.

Visit of the Director of the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

At the invitation of the University President, our university welcomed Professor Dr. Hassanein Basim Al-Shadidi, Director of the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on an official visit aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation and reviewing the current status of student activities.The visit included a tour of the Student Activities Department, during which the guest was introduced to the department’s programs and activities. Discussions also focused on opportunities to further develop student activities in line with the Ministry’s directives.At the conclusion of the visit, the University Shield was presented to the distinguished guest in appreciation of his efforts and continued support for the advancement of student activities across Iraqi universities.

جامعة …… تقيم ندوة عن التعليم الأخضرفي إطار سعيها لتعزيز الوعي البيئي ودعم مفاهيم الاستدامة، أقامت جامعة …… ندوة علمية بعنوان «التعليم الأخضر»، قدّمها الأستاذ مسلم عبد جاسم، وبمشاركة عدد من التدريسيين والطلبة.وتناولت الندوة مفهوم التعليم الأخضر وأهميته في تقليل الأثر البيئي للمؤسسات التعليمية، ودوره في ترسيخ ثقافة الاستدامة، إضافةً إلى استعراض آليات دمج الممارسات الصديقة للبيئة في العملية التعليمية، بما يسهم في بناء جيل واعٍ ومسؤول تجاه البيئة.وأكد المحاضر خلال الندوة على أهمية اعتماد التقنيات الحديثة وتقليل الاعتماد على الورق، وتشجيع المبادرات البيئية داخل الحرم الجامعي، بما ينسجم مع التوجهات العالمية للتنمية المستدامة.وتأتي هذه الندوة ضمن سلسلة النشاطات العلمية والثقافية التي تنظمها الجامعة، إيمانًا منها بدورها في دعم التعليم المستدام وخدمة المجتمع
